This townland is bounded on the east by Athlumney parish.

It is bounded on the north by the townland of Dillonsland.

It is bounded on the west by the townlands of Dillonsland and Abbeyland No. 2.

It is bounded on the south by Old Balreask townland.

It is bounded on the east by the River Boyne, and the road from Navan to Dublin runs along its east side.  There are two Gentlemens' seats on the east side, Belmont and Fairview.  There is a large gravel pit adjoining the Dublin road.
