This townland is situated on the south east side of the parish.It is bounded on the north by the townland of Boyerstown and the parish of Navan.
It is bounded on the east by the parish of Navan and and the townland of Gainstown.
It is bounded on the south by the townlands of Gainstown and Curraghtown.
It is bounded on the west by Boyerstown townland.

It contains 324 acres and 13 perches statute measure, and is all under cultivation. It is the property of the Rev Joseph Preston of Ballinter. Agent, Patrick Clarke Esq., of Dublin.
There are a few old leases of from 30 to 50 years, now nearly expired. About 150 acres are held by Miss Duff of Navan at one guinea per Irish acre,and are underlet by her at 3 half guineas per same.
The remainder of the townland is let in small tenements at £2 per irish acre. The soil is a good yellow clay, and produces per Irish acre 9 barrels of wheat, from 15 to 20 barrels of oats, or 90 barrels of potatoes. The tenants purchase their bog at from 20 shillings to 30 shillings per perch. They are all Roman Catholics. The Landlord raises or lowers the rent according to the goodness or badness of the times.
